In Yemi’s shoes -   My memoirs on Yemi Osibajo’s days ahead.

History was made on the 11th of April 2022, we were able to finally ascertain , vice president Oluyemi Osibajo’s state of mind.

There had been speculations as to him, declaring for presidency, was Yemi going to come out to say he wants to be given a chance to exercise his fundamental human  rights and franchise, to be politically elected or unaccepted as the next commander in chief of the armed forces of our beloved Nigeria.

There had been obvious moves in the past few days, with his visit to former president Obasanjo, and a recent visit to Maiduguri.

His pictures adorned social media platforms , portraying him as the next messiah of Greenland, need I say, his photographers did excellent jobs in selling him to the populace.

His 6 minutes 56 seconds long  speech, seemingly  changed the ongoing game plan. As expected  drama t followed It was not only humorous but also rather  sensitive. I find Deji  Adeyanju’s tweet not only humorous but rather offensive and defamatory,  in as much as I respect his right as a Nigerian to express his personal opinion, I feel his choice of words were  deep and uncalled for at a point he said he had proof that Yemi Osibajo, wanted Buhari dead, and I am like, did Yanju have to go that far.

Another drama ensued when a reporter tried to asked Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, about his view on his son,(Yemi) who just declared to be president, Tinubu replied that he had no son, grown enough to declare.

hat was a very pregnant response, because unlike the general opinion, my thoughts were, is Tinubu saying his biological children were too young to become the president?

Is he pegging the sit of the president, to  old men?  that would be story for another day.

Tinubu boys were quick to tag Yemi a judas, some even humorously said, this is happening in the Christian judas, week, the week before easter, and his betrayal was just timely.

They went as far as releasing throwback pictures of Osibajo loyally following Tinubu. Need I say It is difficult to think in Osibajos cap, because I know this is not the best of times for vice president Yemi Osibajo, dealing with twitter trolls, online comments, and party condemnation, I sincerely hope would be able to go through all this and come out strong . However I am very sure, Yemi Osibajo is acting in someone’s script. I have observed him and noticed he is a very detailed and loyal follower, he is either playing scenes from the President Buhari’s  script, or from Asiwaju’s script. Nigerian politics, should never be viewed as it is, it always has to do with a big picture somewhere, we should learn to expect anything, and as we watch and observe the coming days, lets keep our fingers crossed, and expect a lot of political drama .
