Court orders Abba Kyari’s transfer to prison

 An Abuja Federal High Court has ordered the transfer of former police  IRT, boss, Abba Kyari to Kuje prison.

Justice Emeka Nwike also ordered the  NDLEA, to transfer the 6 others facing drug trafficking charges alongside Kyari to the Kuje Correctional Center.

recall that we earlier reported that the judge denied kyari bail.

Justice Nwite had held that the NDLEA placed sufficient materials before it to warrant denying Kyari and the other defendants bail.

The court equally denied bail to former members of the IRT, ACP Sunday Ubia, Inspector Simon Agirgba, and Inspector John Nuhu.

Other defendants in the suit  are; ASP Bawa James, as well as two drug traffickers that were arrested at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu, Chibunna Patrick Umeibe and Emeka Alphonsus Ezenwane.

Court rejects Abba Kyari's bail bid

 Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court in Abuja has rejected a bail request by the suspended deputy commissioner of police Abba Kyari.

The judge  opined that the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has  enough

evidence before the court enough for it to refuse bail.

The NDLEA in its counter-affidavits to Mr Kyari’s bail application held that it is inappropriate to grant bail because of the facts and circumstances of the case.

According to the NDLEA, Kyari is already facing extradition on charges of wire fraud.
