PAUL POGBA has admitted he is "sad" that Manchester United have failed to win a trophy for five years.

But he did hint at staying with the club by signing a contract extension beyond this summer.

Pogba, 29, returned to Old Trafford in 2016 at  £89million.

United came close by reaching the Europa League final last year, losing on penalties, but will be left empty handed again this term following their Champions League exit against Atletico Madrid.

He was quoted to have said : "I want to win titles, to play for something and this year and the last few years we haven't won a title. It's disheartening

“The season is not over yet, but almost because we don't have any more titles to play for."

Pogba has endured a rough time again this season with injuries, struggles to finish in the top four he even  got  burgled.
